Regelmatig nam hij deel aan de 'soirees' die door de fotograaf Nadar op Boulevard des Capucines 35 in Parijs werden georganiseerd

Vanwege zijn impulsieve en opvliegende karakter vertrok Graverol naar Brussel waar hij zijn kapitaal er met kaarspelen doorheen jaagde
